Canadian Carlton Ware Jug. Confederation of Canada .
Canadian Carlton wear jug commemorating the confederation of Canada. 23cm, 9 inches tall. The jug dates from and depicts Canadian motif including the maple leaf wreath, provincial coats of arms, a map of Canada, a native chief in ceremonial headdress, a Canadian Mountie policeman in wilderness scene with American Indian paddling a canoe, and the Canadian coat of arms It was produced in to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, then comprising only four of the ten eventual provinces. This is a very rare piece. It is unmarked. Antiques Roadshow experts suggested it was probably a Carlton ware prototype, hence no markings. It was bought by my wife's grandfather and has been in our family for at least 60 years. Please call Phil on . Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
