Vintage Raleigh men's 3-speed bicycle

Raleigh "all steel bicycle". This is the classic sit up and beg roadster virtually unchanged in design for over 100 years. Supplied new in by Eve's for Cycles from their shop in Uckfield High Street, it is black with a 23" frame (suit rider 5'8" to 6') and 26" wheels. It has a 3-speed Sturmey-Archer rear hub and a Dyno-hub front wheel. The dynamo lights have a battery backup accessible via a switch on the front light. It has rod brakes, full mudguards, hockey stick chain guard, Brooks non-leather saddle, bell and a modern tyre pump. It is in full working order, including gears and lights. The only missing part is the rear reflector. I rebuilt it a few years ago, replacing the tyres, tubes, brake blocks, chain and bearings for the headset, bottom bracket and both wheels. The paint and chrome are original, so have some surface rust but none penetrating. Ideal for everyday use or for vintage shows/rides. The are also a couple of spare oil-bath chain guards plus a used chain.

Maybe a spoke tighten here and there and mudguard adjustment. Gear toggle moves freely in and out but gear cable is slack, needs adjusting or replacing. You can still buy these new. Chain can do with a bit of oil and greasing. Wheels move freely. Good tyres, both hold air, although may need pumping up a bit.
