Vintage Bedside Cabinets - Hand Painted in Dursley

Vintage pair of concave front solid wood bedside cabinets in the Georgian style, each with 2 drawers and a useful cubbyhole for storage. The cabinets feature straight crossbanding and chamfered corners with reeded pilaster moulding. They have been painted in a taupe chalk paint with complimentary decoupage to the drawer fronts in a predominantly duck egg blue. The cabinets have then been varnished with a water based varnish to protect the paintwork and decoupage. Some ageing and distressing was applied to give the appearance of age and use. A touch of gold gilding was then applied to accent some areas. They would make a stylish statement in your bedroom and are perfect as an elegant prop for a bedside lamp or books Measuring: 51cm Wide x 34cm Deep x 73cm High

Vintage Chest of Drawers - Hand Painted in Dursley

A very elegant mahogany chest of drawers featuring 2 over 2 graduated drawers with an adjustable oval mirror. The mirror is right on trend being aged and foxed (but not too much). The dressing chest has been painted in a pale mushroom chalk paint with freehand harlequin pattern on the front in soft white finished with a little ageing. The drawer inners have also been painted in a slightly darker mushroom colour. There are some very old and inactive woodworm holes but these have been treated twice as a matter of course. The drawers have been varnished with a water based satin varnish, including inside the drawers. New handles have been applied. The mirror and its support are removable for ease of transport. A nice solid piece of furniture that has been refinished to reflect today's trends. Measuring 107cm Wide x 50cm Deep x 76cm to top of drawers and 147cm to top of Mirror
