Exceptional  natural banded agate bead from the pre-islamic north eastern Bactria (HIMALAIAN REGIONS AND BEYOND).  The very strong silica oxydation developedon it, could suggest the bead lay for centuries buried in earth with a very acid ph. The bead presents a nick on a side, probably due to curative use. Perfectly preserved, it could be possible to date it to the first times to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, when Bactria were known in China as Da Xia (大夏), that means "Barbarian empire". Size:  from hole to hole:       32mm.                       diameter:       10mm.                           weight:        4,85grms. Import duties, sales taxes (vat) and other charges are not included in the item prices or in the shipping charges. This is highly desirable, but relatively rare. Very beautiful patina. The bead presents a nick on the rim of one hole. Perfectly preserved, it could be possible to date it to the first times to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, when Bactria were known in China as Da Xia (大夏), that means "Barbarian empire". Size:  from hole to hole:       33mm.                       diameter:       10mm.                           weight:        4,68grms.
