Vintage deco cream shabby chic dressing table dresser chest

Beuatiful original art deco dressing table chest of drawers with a large mirror in three parts,the two outer ones can swivel inwards or out to be flush with the centre one. The glass is in excellent order for its age with just little signs of ageing to the outer edges.The dressing table is made of wood throughout with dovetailed drawers and has been handpainted in a matt finish cream paint and sympathetically distressed to bring out the detail and enhance its character. It has all its original handles which are thick metal and unusual in their design,though very typical of the era.There are two small but long drawers at the top either side which are perfect for make up or jewellery,underneath are 2 larger drawers for clothing.The base has a pretty scalloped edge to the front and the legs have carved decoration to them.A very attractive piece of furniture all in all and full of charm.It measures 100 cms wide x 149 cms high to top of mirror and is 45 cms deep. A solid wood vintage Victorian piece, oval shaped, with cabriole legs, pad feet, and 3 dove-tail jointed drawers and circa ’s / Art Deco period. This is a beautiful vintage bureau. A quality piece of furniture. Ideal as a work station or a lady's dressing table. This bureau has been lovingly, personally up-cycled: Chalk painted in Annie Sloan 'Paris Grey', subtly distressed, then finished with satin varnish. 'Work areas' (top and inside bureau) have had 2 coats for extra protection and durability. The back of the bureau has been fully painted and varnished. The chest section has: One smaller drawer at top (lockable) Two slightly larger drawers below (bottom drawer is lockable) Original, unusual, drop handles with back plates Keyhole on each drawer (1 is false and 2 are at a rather jaunty angle!)
