VINTAGE ABBESS DESK FOR SALE Beautiful original Abbess desk for sale (circa 's). To the left (as you sit at the desk) are three drawers and a sliding wooden tray. In the middle of the desk is a drawer and to the right, two drawers (one large, one small) and pull-out desk tidy. The surface has some scratches and some minor damage (commensurate with age) and a small area where the varnish/polish has come away, but apart from that it's is very good condition for it's age and could easily be restored. This is a lovely large vintage mahogany desk by Abbess I made a donation to a church in Newcastle in return for the desk and am gutted to find it doesn't fit up our terrace house stairs! I paid a lot for the desk in July . I'd be happy to take less than what it is on offer for, if you want to collect it soon - it takes up a lot of space in our kitchen! This has an unusual locking mechanism and a slide out for the other side that we haven’t managed to put together correctly and requires either deactivating (easily done) or someone with more experience to get it right!
