I sell This Viking Single Speed for 110 £. Perfect for Commuting. I used this bike quite a lot for one year and it still can perform amazingly for a few years. Although the frame looks old and not in good condition this bike is amazing. All its parts are in good conditions. It goes very fast, very comfortable, and perfect for going to work avoiding the expensive TFL transports. I have made a few changes on the bike in order to make it faster, comfortable and perfect for a commuting use all over London: - PERFECT BRAKING SYSTEM: Front and back brand new B'TWIN ROAD BIKE BRAKES. These brakes are also used for very expensive bikes. The short length of the calipers make the braking system extremely efficient. I have personally fixed them on the bike no more than 3 weeks ago. I changed also front and back cable brakes. - B'TWIN 700x25 RESISTANCE 5 ROAD BIKE TYRES. These tyres are B'TWIN BEST SELLERS with incredible antipuncture resistance and very good GRIP. Perfect for London weather, especially for rain. - Brand new B'TWIN CHAIN FOR SINGLE SPEED. It is less than 2 months old. - Front wheel has QUICK RELEASE so it can be stored easily everywhere. - I changed the SADDLE with the "500 BTWIN COMFORT" a few months ago (the previous one was very bad). - The bike comes with front and back light. It also comes with back mudguard, so no need to buy anything else. I work in a bike shop so I can guarantee all the above details and a general clean of the bike before the sale. Nice s Raleigh ladies touring bike. Lovely mixte frame geometry. Strong and elegant. Michelin World Tour tyres. Weinmann brakes. 5 speed. TDC freewheel. Mudguards, chainguard and rear carrier. Chromed steel rims. This is a nice touring commuting bike, excellent compromise between speed and comfort. On one hand it has big wheels (same size as racing bikes of the era) and drop handlebars, so it can be pretty fast. On the other hand cycling position is relatively upright, being quite comfortable to ride (for a road bike) and comes with many accessories to make your life on the road easier. Mudguards are a must in London, rear carrier allows you to transport your stuff with you and the chainguard protects your clothes from the chain. Tyres are quite wide too so not a harsh ride. Comes serviced with new cables, new chain, tyres pumped up, etc. Ready to go, just cycle away. Please note that whilst in good condition for age, it is a 30 years old bike. It is tatty in places and has some wear and tear related to age. Tyres a bit old, a rip in saddle, etc, but as said above everything works. All reflected in the price (which is NOT negotiable).
