The piano is a straightstrung upright piano and all the strings are vertical. The action is an overdamper. The hammers are underneath a shelf, and there are stiff wires at the front of the action. The piano is in a fairly good condition but may need tuning. The frame number is: , and the total length of the piano including the piano keys measures approximately 134 cm. The wood is Rosewood veneer with a beautiful walnut carcass. Also include in the price is a beautiful used antique piano stool with draws for storage for either piano sheets, books or magazines. The piano stool has attractive ornate handles and feet. The piano stool has a beautifully designed cushion in need of reupholstering and some minor repairs are also needed to the beading's on the paino stool. The draws on the piano stool pulls out completely or if you prefer you can use the downward flap on the front drawers for easy access to your music sheets or magazines. The piano have been in the same family generation for many years and now it needs a good home. Boyd London Upright Piano and adjustable black piano stool going free. It's a good and solid upright piano that has been taken care of and loved for 3 years. It's no Steinway but has great character and has a decent tone once tuned. It has been tuned regularly and has had an overhaul (including some new felts replaced). It is in good working order and great fun to play. It would make a great piano for a family, a beginner or a good all rounder for a church hall, pub or school. I can get it out my front door but cannot transport it any further than the pavement outside my house. It has a cast iron frame and is very very heavy: will need at least 2 or 3 sturdy people to move it. Piano removals recommended!

Free upright Piano and stool. Please read the whole ad before messaging me as I am spending a lot of time explaining to people what is involved in picking up a piano. I am giving away an old piano which needs some work but is perfectly playable. It is scuffed, the pedals don’t work and it will need retuning after moving. That said, I have been happily playing it for 10 years now. It also has a proper piano stool which has space for storing music. 130cm high, 145cm wide, 62cm deep. If you think you would like it, please be aware that picking up a piano is a lot harder than picking up a chest of drawers or wardrobe, it weighs A-LOT (about 200kg). Before messaging me, please ask yourself the following: Do you have a trailer, or a van with a ramp or tail-lift? If not, how are you going to lift it into a van when you would probably need at least 5 or 6 people? Would you be able to pick it up 21st-23rd June? If you can answer ‘Yes’ to these questions then please message me and I’d love to give you this piano.
