A unique one-off, gorgeous early Victorian button back Chesterfield, love seat sofa. Professionally reupholstered with Kobe Interior Design fabric, from the Masai Grijs Nomad Fabric Collection. An abstract pattern in shades of grey, charcoal and silver in a fabric made from a blend of linen. Not too fussy and perfectly on-trend, blending perfectly with other furniture and décor combinations be this in your home, office or retail shop. I couldn't resist the temptation to have it refurbished and give it a new home. It was looking tired and the fabric was worn, but the underlying frame was amazingly solid and the stuffing was in excellent condition. It underwent a long process of recovering and rebuttoning using over 10m of fabric to replicate the exact original shape and configuration. I have also left the legs as they were in original condition, which is very good, so there is the option to paint them or not. The sofa is firm but comfortable and beautifully proportioned. It has good depth to it and the arms and back are at perfect heights. Would make a lovely feature piece for a Sitting room, bedroom, hall way, a boutique hotel or for interior designer. Read More

s dropend 3-seater sofa reupholstered corduroy fabric

s drop end sofa (see pictures for the right hand side arm which drops) which was reupholstered less than two years ago in a smoky pink corduroy fabric. The seats and cushion rests are all removable and can be dry cleaned. I had the sofa steam cleaned in December. The bright pink cushions are not included with the sofa. Rare 4 seater, Original Victorian Chesterfield...

...unusual tan leather. Very good condition. There are two kinds of Chesterfields- the mass produced ones that last 5-10 years and then the original high-end constructions, designed to last a lifetime, or two ! This is the latter: solid hardwood frames to ensure longevity; arms, backs and seats all coil sprung and extensively buttoned; screwed and stitched leather, rather than staple gunned and glued. This is a statement piece. Genuine 4 seater i.e. with 4 individual seats is rare. I cannot find any other examples on the internet. It comprised part of the most expensive suite of furniture in any style retailing in Ponsford's Furniture Department store in (Sheffield's premier furniture store est. ). Since then it has had only one careful lady owner. There is nothing really comparable in terms of quality and craftsmanship I have been able to locate. Consider for example Ponsford's current Chesterfield-style Halo Chester 3 seater (£ each) - no doubt quality for today but frankly no comparison with what was available (albeit at a huge price) 35 years ago. Because of the need to de-clutter the house prior to putting the property on the market, this sale is relatively urgent (it originally came from a larger property). Dimensions: Length 8ft = 244 cm Width 3 ft = 91 cm Height 2 ft 3" = 69 cm There is a companion piece but with two minor tears in the fabric offered for £ less. Difficult to tell apart without close inspection. Both are photographed here.
