This is a British made high quality Vickers M14 Polarizing Microscope. It is an old and quite heavy microscope made in the 's by Vickers Instruments, built like a tank and once used in the University of Bristol. The Instrument No. is M14/2 and it stands 12" high The eyepiece is 10x and there are three objective lenses: 100x 1.3 Vickers K Vickers Q Cooke Ax 1.3 I know very little about microscopes but to my untrained eye everything looks good and operates smoothly. The transformer is made by the Majestic Winding Company but because of its age I have not plugged it in. It is essential to have the transformer checked by a qualified electrician before using it.
