Lovely old upright piano with burr walnut case. Belonged to my great aunt and uncle and I inherited it many years ago. It is from the Tennessee Piano Co. London and somewhere inside is a date of so its not in its first flush of youth. Great decorators piece or theatrical/ film prop. Having a bit of a clearout and have decided the piano can go. The piano is a straightstrung upright piano and all the strings are vertical. The action is an overdamper. The hammers are underneath a shelf, and there are stiff wires at the front of the action. The piano is in a fairly good condition but may need tuning. The frame number is: , and the total length of the piano including the piano keys measures approximately 134 cm. The wood is Rosewood veneer with a beautiful walnut carcass. Also include in the price is a beautiful used antique piano stool with draws for storage for either piano sheets, books or magazines. The piano stool has attractive ornate handles and feet. The piano stool has a beautifully designed cushion in need of reupholstering and some minor repairs are also needed to the beading's on the paino stool. The draws on the piano stool pulls out completely or if you prefer you can use the downward flap on the front drawers for easy access to your music sheets or magazines. Ambrose London upright stringed piano

Lovely old piano perfect for learning on from Ambrose London. It comes with a stool (probably needs re covering) and original lid key!) I believe this piano is 90ish years old due to the name change from Henry Ambrose & Son to Ambrose London around 90 years ago! The bridle tapes have been replaced (red tabs) as the original leather ones had perished. The metal rail along the top allows for up to 8 sheets of music to be held instead of the standard 2, although the original stand is still affixed so you could take off the rail if you wish!
