Very Large Antique Welsh Bible - Peter Williams Edition

This is a very large red leather bound 19th Century Welsh Bible, and I believe it was printed in . It is a "Peter Williams" bible. Peter Williams was a Methodist preacher and his greatest undertaking was the publication at his own risk of a family edition of the Welsh bible with annotations of his own at the end of each chapter, this being the first Welsh commentary on the whole bible ever issued. This was also the first time that a bible was printed in Wales. The Bible is approx 15.5" x 11" x 4" and weighs just under 13Ib. Please note that the Bible Box has already been sold. King James Bible: 400th Anniversary Edition (Bible Kjv) - leather bound

This 400th anniversary edition of the King James Version of the Bible is a reprint of the text, in an easy-to-read roman font instead of the black-letter type of the original. The original capital letters, many of which are pictoral, have been restored to each chapter in order to replicate the visual appeal of the early editions. The text is followed page-for-page and line-for-line, and all misprints are reproduced rather than corrected. The large body of preliminary matter, which includes genealogies, maps, and lists of readings, is also included. The text of the edition differs from modern editions of the King James Version in thousands of details, and this edition is the most authentic version of the original text that has ever been published. Antique Welsh Blanket Rare Vintage *Offers Very Welcome*

The blanket is beautifully soft and has been carefully laundered with Woolite and salt (a recommended method). I've looked as closely as I can and as far as I can see there doesn't appear to be any moth holes. In truth any faults that may exist are slight and are of course commensurate with the age of such items. Its difficult to assess the true age but indications are that this blanket could be at least 6 decades old, and possibly even more. It came from a lady whose Grandmother sold new Welsh Blankets from a little shop based in the front room of her house in Mumbles, from the s until the s.
