Denn im überwiegenden Teil der 17 Kurzkrimis entledigen sich Frauen ihrer langweiligen, schikanösen, despotischen oder unsensiblen Ehemänner, Liebhaber, Partner und Vorgesetzten. Wenn dann auch mal ein betagter Sohn seine Mutter oder ein Pensionär die Nachbarn auf dem Gewissen hat, macht das das kriminelle Gesamtbild dieses Bandes noch ein wenig runder. Dass diese Kurz-Krimis nicht explizit verortet sind wie ansonsten die Bücher unserer Reihe " Mord & Nachschlag" (Regionale Krimis mit Rezepten), mag zunächst ein wenig befremden, aber diverse kleine Hinweise, der Sprachduktus und nicht zuletzt die Herkunft der Autorin Irene Wondratsch lassen schnell erkennen, dass die Kulisse für die Vielfalt der gereichten Morde eine österreichische ist.
