The tent has plenty of sleeping space in 2 separated sleeping compartments, handy storage pockets, large windows, and adjustable low level ventilation. Pitching is really simple- the Powerflex fibreglass poles slide through the heavy duty pole sleeves and are easily secured with a ring and pin system, allowing you to erect and collapse the tent 'as-one' and keep the inner tent dry. In windy conditions the Vango Tension Band System makes the Icarus more sturdy and stable against gusts or knocks. The outer is waterproof Protex polyester with taped seams to prevent leaks, and the fully sewn-in groundsheet keeps out draughts and creepy crawlies. The enormous front porch is great for sitting out of the wind or weather, or equally great for storing gear, furniture, bikes etc, and the large windows give great all-round visibility and let in lots of light. The side mesh door allows for insect-free ventilation, and the parallel-zip front door can be extended out as a canopy using awning poles (not included). Vango Isis/Iris tent, awning,footprint and carpet. Bought in June . All in first class condition. Listed initially as the Isis but changed the following year to Iris. 6 person tent but we found it more spacious for 4. If you are new to camping, then the footprint is exactly the same shape and size as the tent and is laid before erecting the tent. Keeps the tent underside clean and protects from small stones, roots,etc. Rolls up into its own bag. The carpet is matched exactly for the inside of the tent. Helps to give a homely feel and has its own bag too. The awning adds that extra bit of space at the front, to shelter from the sun or (rain) and useful extra storage. We bought the tent and carpet just to see if we liked camping. We did, so bought the awning and footprint. We have since bought a larger tent as we sometimes have guests and this tent is slightly too small now. Has been used 5 times, twice for 7 days. We are non-smokers. There are no rips or tears. Lichfield Sandwood Exceed 6 man 4 + 2 person tent spares

I have the inner sleeping compartments, poles and wheelie bag - all in good condition. I had to throw the outer tent away as it had lost its waterproofing and could not be repaired. One of the fibreglass poles has split and one of the toggles that holds the room divider in the double bedroom needs sewn back on but good condition otherwise.
