The build quality on this tent is second to none. The additional strips, layers, stitching, clips etc do make a difference and give a robust feel to the tent. It is as solid a tent as I have ever been in and has stood up to whatever the British weather has thrown at it with ease. Poly cotton really does keep heat in, it is noticeably warmer when you unzip and walk in from outside, and has ventilation options you would expect from an Outwell tent. The size of the windows ensure it is bright inside and the bright colouring is cheery even in wet weather. All in this is a great tent. You can check out the countless reviews online with virtually all rating it 10 out of 10 stars. We originally paid £ for it. There is a small tear in the room dividers mesh window and there is a very small hole (5mm) in the groundsheet. Although neither has ever been an issue. Due to the size and weight, I am not able to pitch for you to see, so I took it to a local camp site recently, and stayed overnight to ensure everything is okay. Listed initially as the Isis but changed the following year to Iris. 6 person tent but we found it more spacious for 4. If you are new to camping, then the footprint is exactly the same shape and size as the tent and is laid before erecting the tent. Keeps the tent underside clean and protects from small stones, roots,etc. Rolls up into its own bag. The carpet is matched exactly for the inside of the tent. Helps to give a homely feel and has its own bag too. The awning adds that extra bit of space at the front, to shelter from the sun or (rain) and useful extra storage. We bought the tent and carpet just to see if we liked camping. We did, so bought the awning and footprint. We have since bought a larger tent as we sometimes have guests and this tent is slightly too small now. Has been used 5 times, twice for 7 days. We are non-smokers. There are no rips or tears.
