Lindner Compact Upright Piano 88 Note

For sale is our Lindner compact upright piano which is now surplus to requirements as we are going travelling and will not have room for it in our camper. Small and compact the Lindner was made and designed to make moving easier, they have a box section steel frame compared to the older cast iron type and were designed this way for lightness. The frame works in exactly the same way by keeping the strings taught and normalised whilst the piano is easy to move around compared to the iron frame piano of old. This one weighs in at around 175kgs which is much more manageable than the 300kgs to 500kgs pianos of old. You will also have noticed from the images that this is the 88 note version (full octave) denoted by the three black keys to the far right of the keyboard where it is more common to have only 2 black notes. The piano is a straightstrung upright piano and all the strings are vertical. The action is an overdamper. The hammers are underneath a shelf, and there are stiff wires at the front of the action. The piano is in a fairly good condition but may need tuning. The frame number is: , and the total length of the piano including the piano keys measures approximately 134 cm. The wood is Rosewood veneer with a beautiful walnut carcass. Also include in the price is a beautiful used antique piano stool with draws for storage for either piano sheets, books or magazines. The piano stool has attractive ornate handles and feet. The piano stool has a beautifully designed cushion in need of reupholstering and some minor repairs are also needed to the beading's on the paino stool. The draws on the piano stool pulls out completely or if you prefer you can use the downward flap on the front drawers for easy access to your music sheets or magazines. The piano have been in the same family generation for many years and now it needs a good home.
