2 twin table lamps with one light each, made around , stainless steel stem and central sphere in coloured, snow effect, contoured glass. I seem to remember that this type of piece used to be described as 'Space Age'. The stem is made in stainless steel, with a coloured glass sphere on top. Finding a twin set like this one is not an easy task, especially in consideration of the excellent state of preservation. Height: approx. 40 cm, base: 20 cm, diameter and sphere: 20 cm. I seem to remember that this type of pieces used to be described as "Space Age". The frame is made of 3 curved steel bars holding a moulded, white and brown coloured sphere of glass. Finding a twin set like this one is not an easy task, especially in consideration of the excellent state of preservation. Only the steel may need polishing, which is easily done. Unknown designer for WOFI - two glass space age sphere lamps

A pair of exceptional glass sphere lamps by the German WOFI Leuchten. WOFI is a large German lamp producer / dealer that was founded around by the Wortmann and Filz families. Even though most of the lamps by WOFI are generally fairly classically modern, with a lot of chrome and white, the company made a giant leap in the past with these space age sphere lamps. The circular patterns in various, ton sur ton, shades on the outside were made by hand and remind of the appearance of Jupiter or Saturn.The fact that the dark brown circle on the top is high-gloss and the rest of the glass is satinised makes it even more special.These are very fascinating lamps, both when they are on and off!It radiates very warm light, reminding of the sun, due to the use of orange, cream and brown colours.The spheres are somewhat different in appearance due to the fact that everything was done by hand.Signed with a sticker label on the bottom.The glass spheres sit on a plastic base.Includes a 140 cm cord with a click switch.
