Gorgeous hanging lamp in bubbled glass and brass. Elegant and original.The style resembles Helena Tynell's creations for Limburg, but I am not sure about who produced it. I only know that it dates back to at least the s (or just before). The glass is rather heavy.Condition: Glass in excellent condition with no damage – Some signs of wear on the metal parts. The previous owner probably removed the chain and replaced it with a hook, so the lampshade is therefore not very far from the roof (see photo 4). Beautiful mid-century pendant light with post-modernistic influences. A relatively large glass pendant light shaped like a light bulb. The soft honey colour guarantees a very warm light effect. The fitting of the glass hood is made of brass-coated aluminium and attached with three screws that can easily be undone by hand. Not signed. Judging from the design, colour and original wiring it dates back to the period . Fits one E27 light bulb.Includes a 200 cm cord, so it is also ready for high ceilings. Measurements:Height: 37 cmLamp shade diameter at its widest: 21 cmCondition:Very good to excellent.The glass lamp shade is in beautiful undamaged condition, even at the edges that are hidden in the fitting. A few minimal air bubbles from production in the glass (hand blown glass).The fitting has a bump/smudge spot where the brass coating was removed (5 x 5 mm) with a few minor scratches above it. Lovely shape and colour, and special technique.Designer and manufacturer unknown.The design is very organic with a beautifully shaped shade. The colour of the glass shade is between honey and beige. The light effect is very warm.Although this lamp is usually attributed to the Art Deco period (s), we suspect it is from the early s.The mounting mechanism is special; the metal ceiling plate has a handle so three sliding plates can be turned towards the inside or outside, so the shade is clamped down securely. It reminds us of the mechanism of old vaults.Although it is meant as a ceiling light, it can also be attached to the wall.Takes one E27 light bulb, in a screw fitting. The fitting is made of brass and porcelain.Measurements:Diameter: 24.3 cmHeight: 10.5 cmCondition:Very good for its age and use.Glass shade is completely pristine. A bit rough on the inside and some chips missing, but not visible.Some light surface scratches that aren't noticeably in daily use. The metal ceiling plate has light corrosion, particularly on the special clamping mechanism. The mechanism works. Unknown designer - Murano glass pendant light

This Murano glass pendant light is quite an eye-catcher both in its illuminated and non-illuminated state. The design consists of three leaf like panels with an outward folding edge. Each segment is manufactured from a mixture of thick transparant and smokey quartz coloured Murano glass. The panels are held together by metal bolts which don't detract from the lamp's delicate composition. The lamp is suspended from the ceiling by the original non-extendable (!) spiral cable. We kept the cable in place as it's proof of its original condition. It has been checked and is still safe to use (220V European standard). But if, for esthetic reasons, a buyer would like to replace the cable, it would be a straightforward job for an electrician or handy man to do.
