beautiful mare, full of mane, tail and feather! quiet and easy going when ridden, real plod along, on the buckle kind of ride. based on a working farm, has seen heavy machinery, farm animals, and is completely used to busy surroundings. hacks out alone and in company. will go first or last. good in traffic, very little phases this lovely lady. is a little shy on the ground, unaware of her back round, but would benefit from a little one to one, which unfortunately. i havent got the time to progress. not nasty or malicious. just a little nervous. can be caught in the field with head collar on. a brilliant, easy project to bring on. would suit novice to ride, if someone is experienced enough to work with her on the ground! a lovely little mare, that wont be going to just anyone! homes will be vetted. serious enquires only, this little horse deserves the best! Heartbreaking sale of a stunning 6year old gypsy cob mare. Dapple grey standing at roughly 14.3hh. She has lots of mane & tail, unfortuneately her feather has got bog burnt due to being turned out but this will soon grow back. Not a nasty bone in her body, but she does know her size. She is sold from the field & lack of time forces sale due to a new baby, this decision hasn't been made lightly but this mare will be something spectacular in the right hands, she has had a foal with previous owners & will be an amazing asset to anyone as a broodmare. She has been used for driving but not been in work for quite sometime due to pregnancy etc. I was planning on using this great mare for not just driving but for riding & also showing. It's with great regret that I am now giving up horses as I just don't have the time to give them what they need & it's so disappointing to see them as field ornaments. She needs a confident experienced owner to bring out the best in her, she isn't for a novice. She has recently had her teeth done, wormed etc. I wouldn't say she loves her baths, she will dance around at first but soon settles down, never silly or dangerous. I was working on desensitising her to this but then winter came & also with the baby again just haven't had the time. She will stand to be groomed, tacked up etc. Whilst with me she has seen farm machinery, dogs, kids etc & didn't put a foot wrong whilst out on country roads. Due to the amount of time she's not been in proper work & been turned out over winter I was planning on starting from scratch with her this spring. I have owned Libby since she was 4 years old, and I have watched her grow throughout the years and she's turned into a lovely pony. She is not a beginners pony as can be strong at times however she is currently in a snaffle. Libby has a lovely character and she loves to learn new things, she's can be nervous at times but if you are patient with her she will do as asked. I have taken Libby showjumping in the past and she was brilliant, we did a 40cm clear round, however she has jumped 55cm at home. Although Libby has loads of pros to her she also has a few cons. Recently when I have been picking her feet out she has a habit of kicking out at the side (both back hooves). 8 yrs old, good in traffic, good with farrier, not a first pony although not forward going just a bit bossy on the ground needs to know who's boss which is kind of the problem as I'm a nervous person not necessarily her fault.
