2 RARE ANTIQUE 'MOSANIC' CANDLESTICKS GERMAN OR BAVARIAN (?) APPROXIMATE DATE 'ART NOUVEAU' STYLE APPROXIMATELY 9½" (24 cm) TALL APPROXIMATELY 4¾" (12 cm) WIDTH BASES 'MOSANIC' WAS A RARE TRADEMARK USED TO DESCRIBE PRODUCTS MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE LONDON STORE () OF MAX EMANUEL BY ONE OF THE 'PORZELLAN FABRIK' FACTORIES OF GERMANY/BAVARIA THE ASSETS OF THIS RETAILER WERE TRANSFERRED DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR TO GERMANY. Set of two WL French art nouveau candlesticks

Vary rare opportunity to acquire a fabulous set of two French Art Nouveau candle holdersby WL. They may be possibly a modern reproduction by William Lowe WL*, or most recently discovered from Wong Lee Productions & Co, based on the watermark found at the base of the porcelain. The items are a delicate hand paint work on porcelain and brass in gorgeous cracked glazed white, turquoise colour, delicate roses and gold leafing work. The main porcelain base sits one young baby holding the cup and candle holder.
