Sadly I think our boys would be better off in the care of experienced rat owners. They were brought from pets at home and were not used to being handled and as a first time rat owner I dont have the experience or confidence they need. They are lovely boys but are nervous and bitey. Ben is an Agouti and Bill a hooded, both are around 9 months old and in perfect health. Due to no longer being able to keep my house, I'm unfortunately having to sell my 2 rats as the new place doesn't accept any pets. Iv had them both about a year, they won't always jump into your hand but they come upto you and let you pick them up. I let them run around the living room sometimes and they love it. They have never ever bitten me but if you put your fingers through the bars they may try as they think it's a good for them. I have a dog who runs upto the cage and sniffs then and they aren't bothered by him at all. They come with there cage and everything inside.
