A male and female budgies; beautiful, active, happy and in perfect health. Bought 6 months ago with brand new cage for my girls who absolutely loved the idea of having budgies as their first pet. Unfortunately, selling them out due to my increased responsibilities which will not allow me enough time to look after them efficiently. Cage is in great condition and it will come with colourful swing, budgies food, multivitamin drops and couple of other important nutrients for birds to keep them healthy.

With a heavy heart, up for sale are our budgies Aurora and Figaro. We were recently obliged to re-home a family members cat, and thought that it would be possible, to overcome the natural boundaries between cat and bird. Sadly this hasn't been the case and we feel that the kindest thing that we can do, given the budgies young age (just under 2 years old) is now re-home them to a family that will give them the love and attention they deserve and relish. Aurora (female) and Figaro (male) are a bonded pair and love each other very much. They preen, chat and play with each other, so they stay contented throughout the day without the need of constant attention. That said, they love having people around to impress with their singing skills and acrobatics. We used to have them in the lounge with us, until the cat came along, and they were very much a part of our daily lives, enjoying watching tv, listening to music and flying around the room. They will respond when you talk to them and due to their young age, can still be trained to speak. They are extremely intelligent animals and love time with the family members. They are accustomed to flying to hand and will happily feed from your hand outside of the cage, though they do need regular practice 2 or 3 times a week to keep a strong bond with you. They will also fly on command back to you if you practice with them. Figaro and Aurora are independent enough to be left if outside of the cage, providing windows are covered (they haven't grasped the concept of glass yet!) and will take themselves back into the cage, if the door is left open for them. They will sleep throughout the night, providing you cover them with a dark blanket. They love to take naps to, especially after some exercise outside of the cage. The budgies eat seed, but also love raw broccolli and courgette. However, I would suggest experimenting with other food, particularly fruit and veg cuttings, just double check that it is safe for them to eat. We have asked for £40 as to ensure that they are not purchased on a whim - we purchased them as babies from 'Swallow Aquatics' for £48. They would be a great addition to any home. We will, of course, include the cage, toys and any accessories that we have with them. I would welcome anyone interested to come and visit them, just give me a shout to arrange. Ad ID:

These birds are let out of their cage three to four times a week to stretch their wings. Both birds are very very close to one another and don't fight with one another as my previous Budgie did. One of them is at the age of 9 months (Yellow) the other one is four months of age (Blue).
