Followed by the ecstatic delight on the face of your beloved girl or boy friend, fiancé or spouse when he/she opens up the Coalport Pageant china egg and discover the gift that is stowed away inside the two halves. The Coalport Pageant egg would also be nice to stow away some small sweeties (cuckoos) for young guests after Sunday lunch on Easter Day. Condition. I have studied the egg (with my old eyes) and I cannot see any chips, cracks or crazing. The base of the egg has: - A picture of a crown T BONE CHINA COALPORT MADE IN ENGLAND EST S (I am not sure if the S indicates that this beautiful Coalport China egg is a second.) If it is, I cannot see what the flaw is that has caused it to be classed as such. However, if I were the buyer, I would expect honesty. I have studied the china carefully, and the only thing that I can see is that the beautiful leafy green paintwork on the upper half of the shell on the one side, does have 3 dabs of green along the rim of the opening. Ie the edge of three of the leaves has slightly gone over the edge. The china egg is still extremely beautiful (as all Coalport is) and it is very presentable.
