The Big Big Train - a vintage toy from the s - offering a complete train set plus lots more. It has had one careful owner. All the pieces are in a very good and clean condition. All 3 engines have been tested and all work* - they are battery operated. Over 20m of track. This is an original basic set plus lots of additions and comprises: a blue diesel engine, a green steam engine - with box as shown in photo a yellow shunter engine 1 tipper truck which unloads sideways - red 5 open wagons - green 4 open wagons - red 1 long open wagon - red 18 pieces of straight line (43cm) 12 long pieces of curved line (46cm) 8 short pieces of curved line (23cm) 5 manually operated points 4 boomerang switches (direction changers) also and can be used to stop the train Please see the photos. The box of the original set is included (photo of lid) and although currently used for storing the engines and trucks it is not in a great condition and has been mended with sellotape. *Possibly a piece of plastic missing from the battery compartment of the green engine (or slightly odd design) but still works fine. Original instruction leaflet included. Although it was sold as a toy, and can be enjoyed by 'children' of all ages it does need careful handling. Lovely condition from mid 's, comes complete with manuals, figures, power pack etc. Box is in good condition as it has been stored away for some time. Two Track 00 Gauge Electric Train Set This 2 track 00 gauge electric train set is laid out on a 209 x cm board suspended from the garage roof using nylon rope through pulleys attached to timber/steel transoms connected to the board using bolts and safety clips and is raised and lowered using a hand operated winch. All this is included in the package only if required. The board is lowered onto trestles which are not included in the package. The package also includes 2 small Hornby train sets with coaches, 3 controllers, electrical connections (for mains connection) attached to the base board, a box of assorted spare track, track pins and system connections and wire. Plus a box of foliage, turf, glue etc. and wall effect paper for decorating. The track has been suspended in the garage since new for a year without use and although it operated successfully today some maintenance may be required.
