Lovely traditional style rug made of hard wearing polypropylene which is resistant to moths and shrugs off dirt and stains. It is mainly brick red in colour with neutral accents in the pattern. It is in very good condition and has carpet gripper pads sewn to the back to stop it travelling on carpeted floors,but these can be easily removed if intended for a hard wood or stone floor. Lovely warm, mainly russet colours which are woven (not tufted) in traditional geometric patterns. The colours of the wool threads, which I assume from the tones and variations are dyed with natural dyes, please the eye. Colours vary slightly as is usual in traditional rugs and carpets. I think this is probably Afghan, possibly maymana, but I am an enthusiast, not an expert, so can’t be sure. I’m selling only because it’s a little too long for the room where I was planning to put it. Dimensions: Width: 34 ½ ins or 88cm. Length: 6ft 61/2 ins or 198 cms.
