Tokai Les Paul Gold Top, MiJ BRILLIANT quality, upgrades

I am really sad about selling this one! A beautiful guitar that I have owned for about 7 years. It is in VGC, and plays like a dream, and sounds like a weeping angel! I upgraded the pick ups to Amalfitano Texas boutique PAF's, with aged covers and wired out of phase like Peter Green/Gary Moore. The tones are beautiful - clean and defined, never shrill or harsh. Real depth and tone to them, and they cost £300 as a special order on their own! I will include the original pick ups in case you want to put them back on, along with the original cream fittings. (I just think black looks sexier on a Gold Top!) The current equivelant Tokai is the LS95, so this really is a bargain. I jsut have too many guitars sat in storage not being used, so I am trying to be brave and sell some of them. This one is one I will really, really miss. If you're interested, get in quick, as I might change my mind! (Youtube clip is of me at an open mic night, trying out after a year or so, & LOVING it!)

Fender Stratocaster 50th Anniversary MIJ

Fender Stratocaster 50th Anniversary (sticker on back of head stock). Made in Japan . Serial number U. Exceptionally good condition for over 20 year old guitar. Slight fret wear under G string on second fret, but nothing else to mention. Very slight tarnishing to tuner cases and the usual (for a Strat of this age) minor crack in the lacquer where the neck joins the body – this is not structural. Other than that the guitar is in great shape and has no dings or scratches. Soft V maple neck (graduates to a C by the time you reach the octave) which is extremely comfortable to play, with a good action and no buzzing or choking on bends. Original Alnico pickups but I have had the guitar professionally modded to provide seven way switching. The first tone control works only on the bridge pickup and is push/push, the other works on the middle and neck pickups. When down you have the usual five options but when up you have the added option of: 1) Switch to the back = bridge and neck pickup, which gives an almost Telecaster type tone, and 2) Switch in the middle position = all three pickups together, which gives a great tone for rhythm playing. The other positions work the same as when the knob is depressed. No case, so collection preferred; although I do have a strong cardboard box for the guitar, so could pack for shipment if necessary. 80s vintage Tokai strat copy

Lovely Japanese Tokai start copy from the 80's a classic in it's own right! With a tweed hard case. Pickups have been upgraded to tonerider vintage strat pickups. Pickguard is recent, bridge and tuners have also been upgraded. Works great, I just don't get on with strats. I have owned this since approx . Original bridge may also be included if I can find it. Les Paul Special DC 's MIJ COPY

This is a 's "lawsuit era" copy of a Gibson Les Paul Special double cut. When I got it a few years ago, it had already lost its headstock logo, and despite making enquiries to people knowledgeable about Japanese copies of this era, I haven't been able to find a match - I don't think it's an Arbiter. But it's a great copy of a great guitar. When I got the guitar, it was in a bit of a state, so I upgraded the pickups to GFS Alnico Vintage soapbars and swapped in an adjustable wraparound bridge. The luthier also reset the fretboard, which had lifted a little. I didn't do any cosmetic work on the body, which has quite a few dings and scrapes, though the luthier sanded and finished a scrape on the back of the neck to stop it from affecting playability. As a result, the guitar plays and sounds great, but if you are looking for something pristine, this definitely isn't for you. It's a 40+ year old vintage guitar, and it had obviously taken a few knocks before I got hold of it. Sadly, it now has the opposite problem - it's just not getting played enough, so rather than have it sit there gathering dust and making me feel guilty, I've decided to sell it. Come and try it out.
