Rare breed raw wool for sale
Rare Breed Hill Radnor wool for sale "The Hill Radnor has a fine and fullsome fleece which is creamy white in colour. The wool does not naturally shed and is usually retained in its entirety until shearing, when a fleece is cut with an average weight of 2 to 2.5kgs. Dense with a fine staple, the fleece contains far less kemp (hair) than many other hill breeds. This makes it one of the more valuable hill fleeces, popular with the commercial wool industry and also prized by hand spinners. Traditional weavers appreciate the Hill Radnor fibre in particular as it is capable of bringing both strength and softness to woven textiles such as blankets and throws." Full fleeces or smaller quantities available. Please contact me for prices on full/part fleeces. This wool is raw, which means it has not been washed or processed in any way. I have removed the belly wool and any dirtier wool from the fleece. Read More
