Thorowgood T8 Cob GP saddle black 17.5" XW/XXW

Brought this saddle for young horse who was growing and changing shape approximately a year and a half ago. Purchased as it was adjustable, but he has now levelled off and I'm buying a dressage saddle as this is the direction we are moving towards. Thorowgood advertise this saddle as a good all-round saddle for the rounder build and the low withered Cob-type horse. It has a medium depth seat is ideal for a range of riding activities and offers 4 girthing options to achieve maximum saddle stability. Synthetic underneath but has a quality leather seat and knee pads and gives the feel of riding on an all leather saddle. It is also flocked with 100% British wool. The saddle current is set with the yellow S bar gullet plate which equates to XW/XXW. I also have the white gullet plate - XW and the red gullet plate - W. The saddle has a small scuff on the pommel (see image), but other than that is in excellent condition. RRP £625 Will post at buyers expense and am open to sensible offers. Read More

Excellent condition brown thorowgood griffin saddle. Only been used occasionally on retired horse and now no longer fits. It is an 18 inch seat (measured from pin diagonally to centre of cantle). The width is 9.5 inches from d ring to d ring. Unfortunately can't confirm official size as no labels on saddle. Beautiful 17" Thorowgood Griffin saddle with custom red panels. Really comfortable to ride in. Only reason for sale is that its now too narrow for us ??. Approx 7" tree, (roughly 8" D to D see photo) would probably describe as narrow or narrow/medium. No cracks to the leathers and tree was confirmed sound shortly before swapping to a wider saddle. Happy to deliver to Saughall or Blacon, will travel further for fuel cost. Read more
