16.5 inch T4 thorowgood pony long leg

This fab adjustable gullet saddle is practically new, I paid £450 for it recently. It was fitted by a saddle fitter, to a 14.2 ish Haflinger x ID, which was ridden in twice after it was fitted! I thought she would like it, being lightweight, but she preferred a leather saddle, so that's what we have had to go with. It was honestly a little small for my daughter too. Thorowgood Pony Club Adjustable / Changeable Gullet Saddle

Fantastic condition Thorowgood Pony club saddle in black with a changeable gullet. Ive always measured seat size from the nail head to the middle of the cantle unfortunately I'm having a little trouble with this saddle as the makers button is not a small round pin shape but rather a long oval shape. So just incase i get it wrong i thought it best to give you both measurements: From end, to include button, to middle of cantle is 15.5" From middle button to middle of cantle is 15" I always thought it was 15.5" & had i not measured it, thats the figure i would have given especially as im a small adult & have always found it very comfy. Was definitely a nice surprise to find i may have been riding in a 15" though. It's currently fitted with the black (medium) gullet. Ive had the saddle from new but unfortunately it took a knock in the shop leaving a small tear in the fabric. The damage is located on the cantle (see picture) & I glued it to prevent it getting worse which I'm happy to say worked. Since then its been treated with love and care & avoided any further damage. The saddle was bought for a semi retired pony & as you can imagine has had very little use. Always used with a sheepskin seat saver, saddlecloths, given a wipe after every use & stored with a saddle cover. Read More
