This is a Bridal Box, decorated by hand in a Scandinavian, Westwern Folk Art style.

This is a Beautiful Bride Box.      These boxes were often given as a bridal gift to store the bride’s most valuable or precious items in. However, they also served as storage for wigs, hats, Christening gowns, documents and even supplies for Physicians. I have taken inspiration from Scandinavian and Western European folk art.
