Click here to view this lot A rare stone fireplace with the biblical version of Suzanna being brought in front of the judge by two elders. Made of white clay in the 18th/19th century. In the background there is a fountain and some trees. I purchased from an antique dealer in Limburg. According to the provenance this comes from South Netherlands. But I do not rule out that this could also be from the Flemish region Without a doubt this is a museum piece.Size: approx. 13,5 x 9 cm.Thickness 16 mmA virtually identical version is in the collection of Museum Rotterdam and the Rijksmuseum of Antiquities, Leiden (last 3 photos). The parcel will be sent internationally with Track and Trace.Literature:.
