Say hello to Louby-Lou. A very active, energetic and ball loving 7 year old girl. Looking for a new home as the only pet. Joseph, Male, Collie - Shrewsbury

Joseph, Male, Collie - Shrewsbury

Joseph is a very sweet natured and affectionate collie boy who likes nothing more than cuddles and fuss. We feel he is probably an ex farm dog from his behaviour and preferences. As you can see, he does rather love his bed in the hay! A super friendly boy, he loves playing with some of the other dogs, the girls especially. Some of the boys spook him so probably best as the only boy in a home. However. it would be lovely to see him have a sister to play with, as he really does enjoy playing with another dog given the chance. We don’t normally insist on this, but we feel Joseph needs a home with a garden. He is wary of walking on the lead still and traffic is a bit scary for him. He can get quite timid so a good secure garden is a must at least in the early days whilst he settles in with you and learns to live in a home environment. Sometimes even at kennels he just wants to walk a short distance and then sit and be stroked. He is a quiet boy and we feel he would like a garden to be safe in at first before he meets too much of the big bad world. He would possibly prefer not to be bothered with young children either. He loves fuss and attention, but as he is quite shy, so it would be better for him not to have to contend with young kids. He will also do best in a home where he has company, preferably with another dog (ideally female) and where he is not at home alone too much, too often. Joseph possibly has an issue with his eyes. His pupils seem quite enlarged and if you are a collie lover, you will know that it is not especially unusual for a collie to have eye problems. We will get this checked out thoroughly in due course. Joseph is a fabulous young lad and it would be great to see him getting the cuddles and fuss that he so loves in his own Furever Home. In summary Joseph’s ideal home will be a quiet adult home with a lovely secure garden in a quiet part of the world. If he can share that home with a female friendly dog, he would be very happy as he loves to play with other female dogs. He can be a bit overwhelmed by boys. His shy and quiet nature will need patience, calm and the chance to settle in and relax. Please read our article 'Are You Really Ready To Adopt A Rescue Dog?' before you apply. Thank you! Bodhi, Female, Crossbreed - Shrewsbury

Bodhi, Female, Crossbreed - Shrewsbury

This is Bodhi – a beautiful, happy, friendly girl. She finds herself in rescue after being in a home since birth. Sadly, the arrival of a new baby meant a big life change for Bodhi and she just was not getting the exercise and stimulation that she needs. As you can see, she is a lovely looking girl and has lived with a cat. Therefore, with the right introductions and sensible management, she could probably do so again. She is nervous around very young children so we would suggest only older children in the home. She is a very excitable young girl. She needs a bit of work on her lead walking, can get over excited when out and about. Probably never had the input and structure that will help with that. Could you be the right home for her? Bodhi is a 23kg black and white staff/collie/rotti mix. Please read our article 'Are You Really Ready To Adopt A Rescue Dog?' before you apply. Thank you! Beryl, Female, JRT - Shrewsbury

Please say hello to dinky tripaw girl Beryl. She has been with us a while, but is only now ready for re-homing. We had to allow her some time to adjust to her leg amputation (the result of an old injury being left untreated) before we could consider her for re-homing. Not a lot is known about this fab little lass. All we can say is that she is in her twilight years and has been worked hard in the past. Some ruthless person had her and didn’t have her health/welfare at heart. Therefore, we are looking for a retirement sofa for Beryl where she will receive lots of cuddles and have all the pampering she deserves. She will only require gentle walks, but a garden to sniff and run around in is a must for this smashing little lass. Beryl is in foster at present with other dogs and has been great with them all. No cats or small furries though for this little lady as a working past has left her with a desire to chase. Have you a dinky spot on your sofa for our sweet little Beryl? Please read our article 'Are You Really Ready To Adopt A Rescue Dog?' before you apply. Thank you! Home check, meeting at the foster home and adoption fee applies. Read More

She used to live with other dogs and is in foster with other dogs at present. She’s doing OK in her foster home, but would really benefit from ongoing socialisation classes to teach her some good manners around other dogs. She would also be OK as the only dog in a home as long as she had someone around for most of the day. She is non destructive in the house, clean both day and night. Just a young pup needing some guidance and cuddles. Can you offer Lady the furever home she wants and needs? If so, get in touch via our enquiry form.
