  Telecaster body - Ash - 4.75lbs, project

I started a self build Telecaster project a while back. As you can see from the picture I got as far as shaping the body, cutting out the neck pocket and bridge pickup cavity and marking the neck pickup and control cavities. It pretty much ground to a halt when my family started growing. Likely that I won't be able to jump back on the horse for a good few years yet so am putting this up for sale The body was/is based on plans for a 50s tele. It was cut out using a band saw and has had much of the edges sanded to a rounded finish (the bottom horn needs some smoothing still). The neck pocket probably needs a bit of tidying up although that shouldn't be too much hassle. The wood is Ash and was sourced from Touchstone Tonewoods. It is 2 piece although the smaller piece is a small slither that runs across the top left of the body as you look at it. It doesn't continue into the top horn. Weight is currently about 4.75lbs (note that some cavities have still to be routed). Any questions please mail me. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence.

Beautiful all original late 70s Telecaster in Natural Ash finish + Case

This Eau-Natural Swamp Ash bodied Telecaster is really a really nice find. The serial number dates her to circa , however, the pots show . They appear original, so the most likely answer is that this guitar had been stored in the Fender facility for a year or two, before electrical assembly. Fender were synonyms for doing that back in the day. She plays like a dream, with an ultra straight neck & low action Very clean all-round body & neck, with no heavy scarring anywhere. To say she is circa 38 years old, this is one clean guitar. Comes complete with a really nice vintage 'Pear-Drop' hard case, which is quite a rare piece in itself. am selling this for my next door neighbour who is 85 and who tells me that this belonged to his grandad. Made of ash, not oak.
