There are 2 very tiny chips on the white melamine - one hardly noticeable on the left upper corner facing you, the other approx two thirds along on the upper rim, again on the white melamine. (A dot of white paint or white tape may conceal them) The Colours are quite vibrant. The white area is a little dingy but may clean up to brilliant white using the correct cleaning product. TAUNTON VALE Scales The scales are in pretty good condition, and have just been repainted. They and are FULLY FUNCTIONAL. They are unusual, quite rare and very eye catching. They have always been a talking point when new guests arrive in my home for the first time. The scales are approximately 40 years old. We collected lots of Taunton Vale around the time that we married, and in June we celebrated our Ruby wedding anniversary. Each member of my family collected a different pattern in the collection. I think that this pretty blue one may have been called blue daisy. (They did a yellow one too). As you can see, the metal is lovely and shiny (after just one clean in ages), but there are a just a few very small dark spots on the metal. (A bit of elbow grease may remove most of these).
