If you’re viewing this advert, you probably already know what this is – it used to be industry standard “back in the day”. I’ve seen videos of bearded men getting misty-eyed over this bit of kit. Some of the faders are a little bit sticky. They just require cleaning and a few of the coloured tops from the EQ knobs are missing but they can be replaced easily. Used regularly up until very recently and was 100% working last time used, but the power supply is lost and you might have to get a new one made up as it’s not a standard connection. The stereo channel does not seem to be working for some reason. Also the phantom power button along with a couple of others seem to have sunk somehow. These are probably easy fixes. But even without, the mixer is still very usable as is. No idea how this happened as although we have owned it for about 14 months it has hardly been used really so very odd. The avid Control 24 is a desk that has been designed specifically for use with Protools via an Ethernet interface. The desk is in very good condition. The bottom does have a slight dent and some paint scrapes. Something you'll honestly never see. I have noticed that, on rare occasions the last two displays sometimes flicker (as photographed). This hasn't affected my productivity at all. The desk has recently had a brand new PSU worth £600 installed. The PSU is no more than 6 months old. All 24 motorised faders work perfectly! Each fader is tracked by software. With points they are astoundingly accurate. Writing automation with these simply cannot be compared to using MIDI, they are fantastic.
