We are selling our 'Dottie' due to our family growing and moving Into the world of motorhomes. She has been a fabulous campervan..brilliant runner... and took us touring around Cornwall and Devon last Summer and up to Scotland this Easter. There is a 2l petrol engine with 90k on the clock. Runs great at mph on a motorway. It sleeps 2 comfortably at the bottom although we have sometimes had our little one with us too. The boards at the top fold out to make another double for the kids to sleep in. Very retro interior. The kitchen area has a 3 way fridge (in good working order)/ Double hob/ small grill. There is a small sink. It has a water pump although we didn't ever use it. There is a tall cupboard with a porta potti in it too. Loads of storage too. The van even comes with its original crockery (minus one plate!) On the back there is a bike rack that holds 2 bikes. No awning but we just bought a drive away one. Mot til September this year. Only advisories were oil leak which has been fixed and corrosion (obviously as she is an old girl) We have just treated it as it appears. Only this week a mechanic looked underneath and couldn't believe what good condition it was in! K reg Talbot Express Compass Drifter 404 motorhome. Just over miles, MOT until May diesel with turbo intercooler. Tyres all good, just serviced, oil, oil and air filters all changed. In the last 18 months, new starter motor, alternator and waterpump and all belts changed. Colour coded door mirrors and wheel trims. Sought after U shaped rear lounge that makes up into huge bed, also large bed above the cab. Therefore cassette electric flushing toilet and shower, tip up wash basin, bathroom re-tiled with lightweight "Easytile" in attractive modern marble effect. All appliances work as they should, three ring gas hob and gas oven, three way fridge, gas fire, gas fired hot water cylinder. Numerous storage cupboards and wardrobe, floor cupboards have all been lined with silver foil/bubble insulation material. New carpet in the last month and laminate floor insulation material used as underlay, new owner will feel the benefit when the cold weather returns. The new carpet has given the interior a nice modern facelift. All windows have fly screens and thermal blackout blinds, three piece internal thermal covers for cab windows. Two roof vents with fans that either draw in or expell air, the fan above the lounge is thermostatically controlled and is great for keeping the van cool on hot days when you are out and about.
