Volkswagen Caravelle long wheel base (long nose). Purchased with intention of conversion but time constraints do not now allow. 2.5lt 88bhp engine which is in really good condition with miles with service history. 2 previous owners. Rare "working" air conditioning (front and back) with the electric pack (windows and mirrors). Alloy wheels and tyres with good tread. Solid floor and sill and arches which again is hard to find. Rear seats were removed for conversion - would make an ideal camper conversion as it has windows throughout its length (to fit windows would be nearly £ if professionally fitted). This is quite a rare find as it is last of the T4's with great mileage (substantiated by documentation). No door card on tailgate and side sliding doors need repairs to the door cards - although no need if converting. passenger side sliding door needs new runner (approx £15 incl postage). T4 Campervan

We are reluctantly selling our much loved camper as we are relocating abroad. We kitted it out ourselves many years ago and lived in it for two years. It is still a very comfortable camper to stay in. The conversion was very carefully thought through to maximise storage and comfort as we were planning to live in it. As you can see on the pictures, the bodywork has seen better days and will need some repairs. Engine wise, it is a a beast and keeps on going, although a bit slower than it used to be. Inside the van has a pull out double bed, sink, cooker, very good fridge, plenty of storage, leisure battery, lights, CD player. There is also a camp bed that goes across the cab where a child can sleep in very comfortably. Like all old vans, it has its knacks and small faults. We have loved it and cared for it and would love it to find someone new to take on roadtrips! MOT until 23rd August. Happy bidding. There will be welding mainly around the sills. Issues in the van are the bodywork, the sliding door (can get a bit stuck at times - fine if it s used with care but can t be pushed right back or it gets a bit stuck) and the dashboard is shot. We fill up and count 400 miles to know how we re doing for petrol, the temperature gage doesn t work and the oil light is constantly flashing but it has done that for the last 10 years and not blown up yet! ??
