1-year-old male syrian hamster free to good home including a double-storey cage, accessories such as wheel, ball, tubes, bedding, food, treats and water dispenser. Lovely temperament and nature, used to being handled and very friendly. Hoping he can be a wonderful addition to a family or hamster enthusiast or even first time owner. However preferably not a household with cats, dogs or snakes. Pick up only for Transport reasons. Would love to continue to be his owner, but due to a change in lease, I can no longer keep any pets. Comes with water bottle, shelf & ramp for first floor. There is a wheel attachment but I don't have the wheel as I bought a silent saucer (see below). It is in used condition with chew marks, stain in one corner, hinges on bars no longer functional so bars are either off or on, they don't hold the open position. - Silent saucer in the large size - 18 cm diameter. This type of wheel is better as they don't bend their backs when running. - white large ball with bell - grey plastic house - white plastic tube - wooden climbing tubes with holes X2 - feed bowl - green bird fat ball holder - my girls loved it filled with hay and stuck to the side of their cage (also good for climbing!) - bunch of willow sticks for chewing - cage fresh granules approx 1/2 the pot left - safebed paper wool (shredded tissue) about 3/4 packet left - rosewood naturals soft n safe bedding about 1/2 packet left - green small carry case for transportation of pets - vgc - new unopened 1.5 kg Burgess rat royale food - I supplemented my 3 mice diet with this as it was the most nutritionally balanced food I could find. With the exception of the food and the willow sticks everything has been used so please don't expect new condition. My three mice brought me a lot of happiness so I hope these accessories will allow someone else the same joy I had with my girls. Feel free to have as many or as few of the items as you need. I'm getting rid of this stuff as my last old girl has now passed and with me shortly moving house I won't be getting any more for a while, so wanted someone else to make good use of it all! Selling due to me expecting a baby in December, he is free to a good home, he was bought in February this year so I would say he’s around 7/8 months old, hamsters usually live around 2-3 years. He can’t be kept with other hamsters as they will fight. He sleeps all day and is awake at night, he can be quite noisy at night time. if you have children should preferably be older children who won’t mither him through the day and also a home with no other pets and he is to go to someone who has the time for him to get him out at night time (8oclock ish) and let him run around in his exercise ball etc... his cage will need a proper clean around once a week, and he poos ALOT so his poo/wee will need cleaning out daily. Water will need changing every few days. He will need feeding daily (every night) a small handful of food. He needs to be kept at room temperature anything to cold or hot will cause illness. He has bitten before but only when we first got him, he’s used to me and my family now so he will happily climb all over you and even let you sit and stroke him without biting, so once he’s used to you he will be fine. He comes with a three tier hamster cage and all accessories inside e.g. water bottle, two wheels etc... he also comes with nearly a full bag of sawdust, around 5/6 bags full of food which will probably last a year or longer, he will come with an exercise ball and some treats. And also an animal safe antibacterial spray for cleaning his cage out. Will be sad to get rid of him because he’s so funny and cuddly but with me having a baby i won’t have the time or space to keep him and it’s not hygienic being around a newborn baby. Read more
