If you're in with surreptitious advertising "the youth" wanted to achieve was the strip the medium. So Martin Lodewijk, Uco Egmond, Peter de Smet and Henk Kuijpers each signed a 10-page story "against smoking". Bundled that became the book "STRIPS", in fact issued by the Foundation for public health and smoking and sponsored by spijkerbroek manufacturer Levi's. Actually was asked to draw a whole book only to me, but that was too much, so I moved into via Oberon the others. On the sketch is to see how that went: I drew a cover design, (an early example of my very valued continuous double cover, by the way), outlined the four main characters in there and then each artist signed the own hero.
