Traditional Front Garden in Surbiton in Kingston upon Thames
Tired of squeezing their car into a narrow space, these clients requested a wide new drive, with a generous area for planting. They preferred not to use block paving, or to have their drivers 'look like a car park'. The new walls reflected the red brick of the house, and linked the front garden to the building. The capping of the wall matched the gray edge of the drive, which was surfaced with Nidagravel. Once the grass and old plants were removed, there was plenty of space for a beautiful border. The image shows the garden readied for planting by keen gardening clients.
