Hi I've recently started riding again after a 10yr break. I'm looking for a super safe horse or heavy pony for me and my 10yr old son to ride. I have osteoporosis and arthritis in my hip and my son has only been riding a short time. I will only be riding occasionally most likely a walk around the fields that surround the yard we use. Ive found that i can sit longer on a western saddle so thats what intend to use. My son will use the school to continue learning. I'm happy to take on an older horse ex trekking or riding centre would be ideal. Or a younger horse with an old head. Milo is a lovely yr old fell gelding. He is a fab little pony with a cracking jump! He was in the same home fore over 3years before I got him and had been used to teach beginners and taking kids off the lead rein as he knows his job. He is good to hack and is perfect in traffic. For the first week he needs treats to be caught but I think this is just a way to get treats! Lol. He loves being fussed and pampered by the children. He can be a little bit funny with his feet, but I think he has just been allowed to get away with it in the past, so we are working on this! This is one of the hardest for sale post I have had to write but the fabulous Toby has spent the last 3 1/2 years with us and it is now time to move on to his new home as is far too good to sit in the field ??as Kieran has outgrown him. Toby is roughly 12hh 16 year old please do not be put off by his age as in all the time we have owned him he has never been sick or lame and hunts every week and is always one of the last coming back in the dark. I really can't praise this pony enough as he keeps up all day and believe me he has a hard day he is fab to shoe, catch, clip, and load.
