24" tall Unique Unusual Rare Antique Vintage Papier Mache Lion

Do not expect a new item in a pristine condition. The lion has damage on the tail and the feet and the paintwork is rubbed bare in places and littered with little nicks and scrapes. Having got that out of the way, this is a truly amazing piece of art, which I have not come across before. At 24 inches tall, 32 inches in length and 11 inches wide, it is a substantial little piece that will create a focus and discussion point for any room. I suspect that is probably early to mid-century and could possibly be Russian made looking at the writing on the newspapers which created it. Happy to send more photos if required. rare & unique vintage chest / library index card cabinet /wine rack storage in solid wood (oak ?)

For sale a lovely (and rare) chest of drawers, made of solid wood (possibly oak). Actually it's a former library index card (24 drawers in total). Measurements in cm: 116 height 103 width 47 deepth (top) 53 depth (bottom) Vintage item - not sure of age, but possibly mid century or earlier. Has some marks and stains as expected of an item of this age, but nothing major. In our opinion it looks beautiful this way, and full of character. A popular use for it nowadays is to store wine, as you'll see in the last picture (please note only this pic is not of the actual cabinet). The drawers are quite deep! Selling due to a fit out, and sadly have to see it go... Its fairly heavy, but the top is detachable from the bottom making it easier for transportation (though you will probably need a van). Viewings are welcome, Mon-Sat 11am to 6pm, Sun 12pm to 5pm. We have a (free) loading bay, with lift access. Near Blackfriars (South entrance), Southwark and Waterloo.
