Extremely sad sale of our beautiful Connemara pony. We have made the hard decision to offer our pony for sale so my daughter (19) can move onto horses. He is a 14.2 grey gelding who is a big pony so no small children. He would be ideally suited to a small adult or leggy teenager confident rider to bring out the best in this gorgeous boy. He has been with us for 5 years since arriving from Ireland as a 4year old in that time he has proved himself as a super pony who loves a variety of work and cuddle. He has been slowly produced and not over faced. He has good flat work which is improving all the time starting to work in a consistent outline, he has been placed unaff dressage gaining high 60s in walk trot and being placed 1st on many occasions he has also done prelim and again gaining high 60s with nice comments from judges recently being placed 5th with more work he will gain higher marks. He has taken part in PC activities and camp which he loved he would make a good teams pony PC/RC ODE: has competed and been placed every time out jumping up to 80cm, but has been XC schooled over variety of BE fences up to 100 with confidence and jumps skinnies, steps, ditches, corners, in and out of water, he really enjoys XC due to lack of transport he has untapped potential for BE and BS SJ: competed variety of classes ranging from cm he seems comfortable at these heights he has a neat scoopy jump always placed with double clears. He has jumped single fences over 1metre. He will take you into the jump without being strong He is a good hack he will go out on his own or in company front or back however when going out in a group he likes to be at the front if he doesn't like being left behind. He is good with traffic nothing bothers him he regularly sees tractors HGVs farm machinery He is easy to do at home and at competitions, happily lives in or out in a herd or on his own. I have so many wonderful things to say about this lad. He is the sweetest horse who loves attention and a pamper, and would stand for hours to be groomed and fussed. He hacks out both alone and with company, going first or last. He is snaffle mouthed at ALL times. He has three lovely paces and loves to jump. I’m not 100% sure but think he has hunted out in Ireland previously. He is good to shoe, load and catch and has never reared or bolted. He is known to buck occasionally when excited, but this is nothing major or nasty. He isn’t silly or spooky and is good with traffic but can be abit cautious with tractors. Although he isn't nasty, he is not a novice ride. He is very forward going and can occasionally become strong. However, all he wants to do is please, and do his best of what's asked. He has been turned out with mares and geldings and has never had a problem. He currently stays out in the summer and comes in to be stabled during winter. Would suit an eventer or Hunter and he is never sick or sorry. Great around dogs and children. If not sold he will continue to be ridden and will be hunted during the upcoming season.
