STUNNING OYSTER STRIPED VICTORIAN MAHOGANY CHAISE LONGUE

Beautiful original Victorian Chaise Lounge. I bought it 20 years ago and had it completely resprung, refilled with horse hair and reupholstered at the cost of £350. It is upholstered with a beautiful neutral oyster coloured satin stripe Romo fabric which was £75 a metre and trimmed with matching rickrack. It really is a luxury piece. It's really solid, wood in excellent condition. Fabric is in excellent condition, a couple of small water marks which should remove with steam cleaning which I have had done before by a professional. Lovely carved wood and solid turned legs on casters. Measures: 70 long x 26 deep x 28 inches tall. A beautiful piece of antique furniture which I've really looked after. House move now leads to sale. Impressive Mahogony Victorian chaise longue recently reupholstered in cream fabric in beautiful condition. Measures 6'6" in length X 2'2" deep. Height from top of back to floor 3' and from seat to floor 20". We had it reupholstered before we moved but although I have tried desperately to find a place for it I just can't fit other very necessary furniture comfortably into the quirky shape of the room. It really is a statement feature in any setting, modern or traditional. It's a virtual giveaway as the cost to reupholster was extensive. I found one with the same frame online for sale I n an antique shop with old upholstery for £700 which was almost the cost of the reupholstering job we had done! Bargain.

This Victorian Chaise Longue has been in our family since the s when it was bought and reupholstered in the damask fabric which is shown in the photograph and is still in very good condition today. It measures 5 foot in length, the seat is 2 foot deep and the height to the top of the back rest is 2'8" high. The mahogany frame is in perfect condition and the Cabriolet legs are beautifully carved with flowers. The overall shape of this chaise is very elegant and there is nothing heavy in its appearance.
