The cels were laminated by the Disney Company at the time, in an effort to protect the fragile cels and their paint. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a bad idea, as the lamination has caused the cels to crease over time. This is the case for most cels from this project, as it is with this one.Nevertheless, it is an ong>originalong>, used in the film. Cels from Robin Hood are rare, and because cels are no longer made nowadays, this is a genuine piece of animation history. The left bottom corner is damaged, and the plastic of the lamination is creased in various places.The paint is still of good quality. There are no cracks in the paint, the image is intact.As a result, Alan-a-Dale still looks great.
