Vintage Rolex Oyster Military Watch

This is an all original and very uncommon MILITARY OYSTER LINCOLN produced by the ROLEX watch company in . The OYSTER case is the rarer and LARGER cushion size, measuring 27.5 x 36.4mm lug to lug.The original winding crown has had all the plating worn off and is now stainless steel. These CORRECT ROLEX caliber 59 movements are not signed on the movement plate…only “ROLEX” on the front under the dial. The watch while getting on for 75 years old still functions and if the movement was cleaned and serviced (approximate cost is £250.) should still keeping excellent time. The dial is all original with minute track, Arabic numerals, red sweep seconds, original pencil hands.These watches are very hard to find with original dials. These OYSTER watches are small in size as they were designed specifically to be tough(shock resisiant) and 100% waterproof (oyster screwback case and screwed down crown) to avoid damage during battle. They were designed and sold to CANADIAN soldiers going overseas in WW2. This is a wonderful example, all original and can be supplied on a new strap if required.
