This is the third in a series of Teddy bears with a leather collar - and made of exquisite alpaca. This high quality material has travelled a long way, from high up in the Andes where the air is thin and the nights are cold. This is where alpacas - like the better known llamas - live. They are protected from the cold by one of the finest and softest types of animal hair in the world, which is shorn by the Indios by hand, no more than once every two years and made into an outstanding woven fur. This attractive blue Teddy bear comes with a stylish leather collar decorated with nine gold-plated Steiff buttons. This is the 'underscored button', recognisable by the ''F'' tailing back from the end of the name. This historic design is also to be found in the gold-plated ''Button in Ear'', which the Teddy bear sports along with the red and white, consecutively numbered, tag in his left ear. To complete a perfect picture, he is stuffed with wood shavings and has a growler and glass eyes. His arms and legs also move. He stands 32cms tall and is surface washable. Bear in mind that teddy is not a toy. Teddy was made in Germany in and is no. of a limited edition of worldwide. He is as new, boxed, with certificate of authenticity and comes from a smoke free home.
