Specialist ROV Umbilical Termination - Rare Item in Glasgow

This is a 14 inch long ROV Umbilical Termination which appears to have had a potted Rochester style cable at one point. This was a part I had in reserve for testing high speed towed submersibles but was never deployed as I didn't build a sub-sea vehicle big enough for it! It looks like a straight forward light engineering task to drill out the cable and heat up the resins to undo the threads. Once apart it will clean up on a lathe back to 'as new' condition ready for a new cable There is only a small tooling mark and no wear on on the u-bolt hole. Therefore asking price is based on condition. It is an excellent reserve termination to carry on board in stock. The brand is unknown at this stage. I paid £ for this part. This is the solid brass surround from an old postage stamp machine. Unfortunately the photo makes it look like a letterbox but you have to visualize it in the upright position which is how it would have been fitted. It is beautifully cast in solid brass with the word "Postage" at the top and "Stamps" at the bottom. If any of you are old enough to remember, the stamp machine itself would have taken up the centre of the space and be mounted vertically, usually in a wall or similar.
