The Spalding Dressage Brittanica Pennine Saddle is built on quarter cut back laminated spring tree with a scrumph leather seat and soft "Airflow" kneepads. The full grained leather flaps and skirts are made from specially treated saddle leather producing a thick but ultra soft finish that is instantly rideable and allows maximum contact for the lower leg. The wool flocked French type panels have a wide channel and an extended weight bearing area. The "Vee" web fulcrum girth and point strap ensure maximum stability, and the knee pad is of a blocked type fitted shape to the roll. This designed to give the rider the feel of a much larger roll. Stunning 18" medium (standard butet medium - very versatile!) fit Butet dressage saddle. Gold in colour, this saddle is a however is in absolutely immaculate condition for its age ! The only thing to mention is one small scra tch on one knee roll, other than that it is absolutely stunning, and the full calf skin leather is in beautiful condition.  This is the semi deep seat, and a custom made dual flap, so able to use a long girth on it (and able tighten it up easier whilst being in the saddle   ) however loses no closeness of contact and feel thanks to the craftsmanship of the Butet tree. Only selling as my horse has recently had surgery for kissing spine & will be out of action for a while. The Flair has been checked in the last 6 months by a Flair approved saddler (Catherine Worsman). Both saddle & Flair are in good condition. One of the girth straps has separated (see photo) but this doesn't alter performance. It will however, need replacing at some point. Usual wear & tear marks. The saddle has always been kept at home, in my house to avoid any mould or damp and has been very well care for with regular cleaning & conditioning.
