THE SOUND OF MUSIC - ORIGINAL VINTAGE SOUNDTRACK + VERY RARE UNIQUE? BOOKLET ….. MUST BE SEEN This is the original Rodgers & Hammerstein’s soundtrack from the film The Sound of Music. Yes it really is 51 years ago! This recording is in exceptional condition and comes with a booklet that was probably only on sale at cinemas where the film was being shown, although copies could be obtained from the publishers in Pall Mall. I am not a record dealer, but have looked at other items graded by dealers. Based on what I have read I would grade this one as follows: Sleeve: VG++. There are a few minor creases and scuffs (mainly to the corners) from storage. The spine is in excellent condition – straight and no creases. There is slight discolouration to the sleeve. Album: Ex. No marks or scuffs, probably only played two or three times. The label is unmarked, although it is a deeper red than it appears in the photograph. Booklet: Very Rare © . No other has been found on the internet at the time of advertising. There are 32 pages (not including the cover). There are slight scuffs to the edges, some slight discolouring and minor creasing. All in all this is a very good copy of a rare booklet explaining the story and making of the film. The pages are not as bright as they appear in the photographs.
